What are your hours?
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.We are open on holidays that fall on weekdays, including Christmas, New Year’s, and Independence Day. Closed every Sunday. Hours are subject to change.What does "Charankako" mean?
Charankako is the local name for the monkeylala, a basilisk lizard that can run across water. These lizards live right here on the property.When did Charankako Bay open?

How much is a Day Pass?

Activities
Do the tours require a guide?
The Honduras Circa 1950 and Bosque Enano tours can be self-guided or guided (your choice). A guide is recommended for Bosque Enano to help with wildlife spotting. Horseback riding, kayaking, and snorkeling always include a guide for safety.What are the age requirements?

Do you provide towels?
No.Please bring your own towel.Are there umbrellas?
No.Umbrellas are not available on-site. Bring a hat or your own shade.Is there a lifeguard?

Yes.Food and snacks are available for purchase on-site.Are there showers and restrooms?
Yes.Outdoor public showers for rinsing off and restrooms are available in both the upper and lower areas of the property.

Accessibility
Is the Honduras Circa 1950 tour wheelchair accessible?
Mostly yes.The tour is fully accessible with aluminum handrails throughout. Bathrooms in the upper area are wheelchair accessible. The one exception is an optional steep wood bridge (it moves as you walk and is too steep for wheelchairs). You can skip this section.Is the beach wheelchair accessible?
Yes.
The beach area is accessible by wheelchair. Restrooms are wide enough for wheelchair entry. There are no ramps into the ocean.Is the Bosque Enano tour wheelchair accessible?
Limited.The wooden bridges can be bumpy, there are several steps, and sand sections. Wheelchair access is not officially available, but guests with family assistance may be able to navigate the bridges.
