What You Will Experience

The Lookout

The tour begins at the top of the mountain with a spectacular lookout point. Take a moment to enjoy a panoramic view before the walk begins.

Pottery and Chocolate

The first stop is a hands-on experience where guests learn the process of making pottery and chocolate. A skilled artisan demonstrates inherited pottery techniques passed down through generations. You will also receive an educational background on the art of chocolate making from local cocoa.

The Butterfly Area

As the path continues, you will pass through a butterfly habitat. Look for butterfly cocoons hanging from tree branches and spot different species in flight.
A stone selfie stand shaped like a butterfly offers a fun photo opportunity at the end of the area.

The Rope Bridge

For those looking for a bit of adrenaline, a rope bridge held by cables crosses between two points with a unique lookout. This section is optional.
Note: The rope bridge is steep and moves as you walk. It is not accessible for wheelchairs or those with mobility concerns.

Garifuna Cultural Experience

A brief introduction to Honduras’ Garifuna heritage, including traditional fashion, cassava making, dance, and musical instruments.
The Sugar Mill (Circa 1950)
The final stop is a recreated sugar mill from the 1950s, showing how an ox would pull the sugar cane mill machine to extract juice from the cane. It is a vivid snapshot of how rural Honduras operated just a few generations ago.
